Today we headed down to the Estuary field study. We kicked things off with a fun salmon game simulation, complete with a "turbine", "bears", "fisherman", and "fish ladder". After a mid-morning snack, we headed closer to the river to measure dissolved oxygen, catch critters, and learn about stream morphology. After lunch, we tried our hands at catching ghost shrimp and we were not disappointed. Here are some pictures from the day:
