This morning was COLD! 36 degrees when we woke up, but when we stepped out of our tent, the sunrise was breathtaking. Since we had to change plans, the Cycle Oregon crew created a new route for us to LaGrande which took us on a scenic bikeway through the old logging town of Pondosa and Catherine Creek State Park.
This morning was lots of fun, with some rolling hills, some short climbs, one longer climb, and a few fast and long descents. Top speed today was 45 miles per hour!
After mile 55, the last few days caught up with me and I was lagging a bit toward the end of our 77 mile day. The LaGrande townsfolk and cheerleaders put a smile back on my face as they rang and cheered us into camp.

Mark Bosworth's family joined us for dinner tonight. The food on this trip has been wonderful. I find myself going back for seconds almost every night!
58 miles to go back to Baker City tomorrow. See y'all soon!
