Shout out to my 5th grade class at Bonny Slope. I hope you guys have just as good of a week with Ms. Abel as we had together the first week of school!
Today was another great day! A perfect day for cycling, actually. Temps in the high 60s and low 70s, a few sprinkles during lunch, and a loooong, fast descent after a decent climb.
You can find the GPS of our ride here: http://connect.garmin.com/activity/898933925

Our friend Kelly Bosworth (www.kellybosworth.com) was playing her guitar and singing during lunch. She is a Portland based musician that you should definitely check out! She is the daughter of Mark Bosworth.
After our ride yesterday in 90 degree weather, I jumped in the Snake River for a little swim. We listened to a great band and learned about the geology in the area.
We are staying in the town of Cambridge, population 360, on the high school football field. Our tent is feet from the goal posts. Members of the town rang us in with cowbells and high fives.
Highlight of today was the three mile heart-pounding climb that made every part of my body feel alive and the reward: a screaming three mile descent. Top speed was 41 miles per hour!
More live entertainment tonight and a good night's sleep. Tomorrow we ride 103 miles!!
