After running some experiments to determine the optimal amount of fuel for our rockets (1/3 full of water), we endeavored to stabilize its flight in order to maximize distance. Here is some videographic evidence:
Mr. Basham was dressed up like a pancake king today, thanks to his wonderful class that raised over $1000 to help pay for our trip to Mazamas Mountain Science School! Hope to see you at the pancake breakfast tomorrow... Ms. Crannell's class challenged us to a dance-off. Mr. Whitehead was the judge. Here are some pictures: Inquiry Last week week we looked at writing piece and some pictures we decided as a class if we thought it was convincing or not convincing. The next day we all got roles for a project that we were going to do the next day. We also learned about twin peaks, which was what we are going to talk about the next day. The next day we actually did the debate, we got split up in 4 different groups and had debates. Then we tried to come to a consensus, but then we had to stop. The next day we got in a group of 2 and looked at books about native americans. 🎄Ashley And Katie’s🎄
🎅Fun Winter Story🎅 🤶Continued🤶 “Hey!!!” Santa yells from outside (and he can hear everything) A few hours later, poof!!! “Who are you?” Holly says glumly. “I’m the magical christmas fairy” she says “I can make dreams come true!” She raises her arms up in the air in excitement. “What do you wish for?” She wonders aloud “I want to become an angel” Holly says “but you probably think that's silly” “No, of course not” she says. She waved her arm through the air “good luck” she says and disappeared. And at that very moment Holly burst into a shimmering sparkle and when the sparkling stopped she was wearing a white dress that reached her toes, a pair of white wings, and a sparkly halo. She had on golden sandals with silver diamonds and she flew up into the sky out of Santa’s workshop. And nobody, not even Santa knew were Holly the angel elf went. The End 🎵CHRISTMAS IS COMING!🎄

Even Santa thought it was silly. This elf's name was Holly. She had curly brown hair, and deep greenish-blueish eyes. She was very short and had pointy ears. Her glasses were purple and black, and she had to push them up every 5 seconds. But she couldn’t worry about becoming an angel today because it was christmas eve. She had to help Santa load up his sleigh. “Ho, Ho, Ho ”said Santa when Holly walked in the room. “If it isn’t Holly the angel elf!” he said “Hi Santa, I came to help you, but if you don’t need any thats fine.” Holly said as she slowly walked out of the room. “Wait!” Santa yelled at her “Fine I will stay” Holly spent the rest of her day helping Santa load his slay. After Holly helped Santa she went to bed and didn’t wake up till Cchristmas morning. It was Christmas morning and Holly watched all of the kids wake up on the big Christmas map. It was meant for seeing if kids were naughty or nice, but she always liked to see the kids happy faces when they saw there joy filled stockings and presents under the tree. She was watching one girl and boy that were twins named Jilly and Billy. Jilly opened up a barbie doll and screamed for joy, and Billy opened up a brand new train set. All that she wanted was to be an angel “I don’t want this stupid job anymore” she muttered “Santa’s so bossy” “Hey!!!” Santa yells from outside… to be continued! Here are a few pictures of some decimal and expanded notation that we've been working on in class, just in case students need to reference them...
