READING~
This week in reading we got our fantasy book club books. We did a pro reading response about our choice book and wrote our evidence about what we thought the theme(or theory) of the book was. We also had questions to answer about our fantasy book like who has the power? Or Will the setting change? Or What will happen here? Read you next week! =)
MATH~
This week in math we used geoboards to find the area and perimeter of a model. Each of the sides was equal to one linear unit so we had to work on multiplying fractions. We also played around on a geoboard app to get to know how to use all the tools. On Thursday we got a partner and a choice of three word problems (for multiplying fractions)and made a poster. We had a model and equation to show our thinking.
PYP~
This week we are getting ready to start exhibition!! Yay!!!! At the beginning of the first day, we came in and saw a stack of journals. We were excited to learn that we would get them later in the day. We pulled sticks (that have names on them) to see who got what journal (they were decorated). Then, we looked at the central idea and wrote our thoughts about what it meant. The next day we filled out a packet about ourselves and learned fun things. The day after that nothing happened. But, the next day we taped in some resources and wrote the table of contents. The next day we had a guest speaker. It was fun!!!
